A Childcare Provider has to respond to the daily needs of children in a group setting by creating a fun and engaging environment that responds to the individual needs of every child. The ideal applicant for this position should be compassionate and dedicated to providing a nurturing and safe environment for group and individual activities. Excellent communication skills, teamwork, as well as the ability to understand and follow detailed directions, are necessary for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Have the ability to read, write, and communicate at a level that enables you to perform job duties effectively.
- Have the ability to work with children and families in a variety of settings.
- Have the ability to create age-appropriate comprehensive weekly lesson plans.
- Have the ability to balance the needs of several children at once.
- Know the signs of child abuse and neglect; know how to report child abuse or neglect; know how to protect a child from child abuse or neglect.
- Provide developmentally appropriate activities for children
Eligible Applicants Must Have:
- High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) Certificate;
- Required certifications, including, but not limited to: 45 hours Infant and Toddler Curriculum; and/or 45 hours Child Growth and Development; ADA completed; 9 hour Communication Course OR College course taken; Breastfeeding Course; Basic Health and Safety training; and CPR as required by state law.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
