Directs and coordinates activities related to all phases of golf ball production by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate coordinators.
- Confers with President and BSP Advisor to establish production, inventory, and quality control standards, develop budget and cost controls, and obtains data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered.
- Plans and directs receiving, inventory control, and golf ball production activities and establishes priorities in keeping with effective operations and cost factors.
- Directs all production planning and related inventory purchases.
- Coordinates production activities with purchasing, maintenance, and quality control to obtain optimum production and utilization of personnel, machines, and equipment.
- Coordinates new projects to improve safety, quality, production, housekeeping, productivity and cost.
- Works with vendors to improve quality and cost.
- Is responsible for preventive maintenance of all equipment in conjunction with maintenance.
- Revises production schedules and priorities as result of equipment failure, operating problems, or sales requirements.
- Compiles, stores, and retrieves production, quality and inventory control data.
- Plans and prepares production schedules for manufacture of golf balls.
- Ensures that an accurate and sufficient inventory of raw materials and direct supplies is maintained.
- Organizes packing projects using full-time and temporary employees according to sales requirements and deadlines.
- Is responsible for the implementation of corrective counter measures for all production related problems.
- Is responsible for the organization of all production related items.
- Develops and conducts training programs for production personnel.
- Develops standard operating procedures for all processes.
- Ensures safekeeping of plant facilities and grounds.
- Tests and inspects products at various stages of production process to evaluate product safety levels and recommends measures to reduce or eliminate hazards.
- Ensures compliance with state, federal, and local regulations in the handling and disposing of materials.
- Is responsible for the implementation of new equipment, ball types and processes.
- Initiates process improvements to reduce cost and/or improve quality.
- Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages five-six subordinate coordinators, one Maintenance Supervisor, and one Golf Ball Production Coordinator who supervise a total of up to 75 employees in Golf Ball Production. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university, preferably in mechanical and/or electrical engineering, or five to eight years experience in a small to medium size automated manufacturing facility.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability to establish, maintain and foster effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
- Requires extensive knowledge of computerized accounting systems, and of personal computers and related software. (Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook & Power Point and SAP).
- A working knowledge of statistics, and the confidence to make decisions that will affect a company's bottom line.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
