JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Software Engineer / Front End Web Developer

Department: Information Technology Department Reports To: CIO

The Software Engineer is responsible for creating front-end responsive web applications. Drives projects through the lifecycle of requirements, design, development, and testing. Responsibilities include creating mock-ups and creating the web application using HTML/Javascript/CSS and front-end frameworks.
RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build new front-end web applications and ensure they meet the business goals of the brand and project
• Create designs that can quickly and efficiently be developed into standards-compliant websites
• Uphold high design and coding standards across all work
• Evaluate existing brand websites for design and usability improvements
• Create and modify assets (copy, graphics, specifications, etc.) on a day-to-day basis
• Ensure all product content, meta-data, features and specifications are current across all sites
• Conceptualize and implement designs for digital marketing campaigns across all channels
• Assist the Digital Marketing Director throughout the creative process

ABOUT YOU

• 4+ years experience working with software development
• Proven proficiency in HTML, Javascript, and SCSS/CSS
• Experience with React, Angular, or Vue
• Experience designing for both desktop and mobile
• Comfortable managing tight deadlines, and are agile and nimble to adapt to the changing environment
• Have the ability to manage goal setting, tracking, and support with planning and organizational skills
• Excellent problem solver, able to identify, analyze and propose solutions
• An eye for the nuance and subtlety of web design
• A strong command of web usability principles
• The ability and discipline to work proactively and independently
• A thirst for learning
• Dedication to working in a collaborative environment to develop and deliver the best ideas and work

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in web app frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue
• HTML, SCSS/CSS, JavaScript
• UI/UX Design
• Strong understanding of responsive web development

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
