Where the Chemistry Happens
The Analytics and Quality organization located at the BASF Verbund site in Freeport, TX provides quality assurance testing and oversight of the quality systems at the site. We manage laboratory testing of finished product and in-process testing, on-line and in the laboratory, to ensure products meet or exceed our customers’ expectations. In addition to our focus on quality, we maintain a keen eye on safety, ensuring that all activities and tasks are completed safely.
As a Quality Specialist, you will provide quality support to the laboratories and operational units at the Freeport site. You will be responsible for ensuring that the site is ready for ISO 9001 audits and complying with RCMA requirements for the covered areas. You will drive investigations of quality-based incidents and assess the effectiveness of the corrective actions made to reduce repeat incidents.

Responsible for working with the Quality and Document Management Manager on the quality systems for the Freeport site. Manage and conduct investigations on quality incidents in the product and laboratory area. Actively participate in the ISO 9001 and RC audits at the site. Work closely with the Quality and Document Management Manager and Manager of Laboratory Operations in their daily activities Communicate effectively and collaborate will all levels of personnel at the site.
Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Required:-
Minimum 2-year degree with a scientific focus. Bachelor’s degree in a science with experience in quality systems is preferred Knowledge of ISO 9001 and RC is expected, with auditing experience preferred. Understand the requirements of a document management system. Ability to conduct investigations of quality incidents Proven organizational skills. Commitment to an efficient and safe workplace.
