The Assistant Plant Manager/Mechanic will be responsible for the planning, prioritizing, assigning, supervising, reviewing, developing methods and schedules, and participating in all tasks related to facility maintenance.
- Responsibly handle emergency and after hours repairs.
- Take part in developing maintenance policies and standards for the facility.
- Coordinate training sessions in facility maintenance, safety procedures, and methods.
- Maintain preventative maintenance standards for facility, which includes equipment inside the facility as well as rolling stock outside.
- Routinely inspect equipment for wear and replace any mechanical parts that are excessively worn.
- Must have experience in welding, fabrication, electrical, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of sawmill machinery and PLC systems.
- Must be able to lift up to 60lbs and walk/stand 4 hours or more daily.
- 5+ years experience preferred but not required. Minimum 3 years experience required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
