Principal Function:
The Executive Chef is charged with oversight and leadership of all culinary operations, superior service, trends, fine dining, casual grab and go, luxury suites, quick service, and events. The Executive Chef is charged with maximizing the productivity of culinary teams by providing leadership and oversight to the team within their assigned line of business. They are accountable for approving key personnel decisions, operating decisions and expenditures, and for generally ensuring consistency, continuity and communication for all assigned units.
The Executive Chef will guide their teams in managing culinary personnel and will advise regarding culinary activities. They will interface regularly with the culinary teams within each unit to evaluate their performance and effectiveness, may oversee special catering events and may also offer operational support and culinary instruction. The Executive Chef's highest priorities will be to ensure that Sodexo Live!'s standards for quality, service, timeliness, safety, security, sanitation and regulatory compliance are adhered to.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Monitor for consistency in the procurement, production, preparation and service of food product within assigned units.
- Communicate and promote Sodexo Live!'s culture and values; Provide hands-on leadership and direction Executive Chefs and culinary teams.
- Participate in the Development and Implementation of Business Strategies.
- Manage the financial performance of assigned venues through effective control of expenses and through the development, analysis and implementation of budgets and forecasts.
- Contribute to goal of 100% customer satisfaction through personal commitment to customer service and leading the culinary team by example.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years in a culinary leadership position with increasing levels of responsibility.
- Ability to promote and participate in a team environment.
- Ability to understand written and oral direction and to communicate same with others.
- AOS or higher Degree from a postsecondary culinary arts training program or equivalent professional certification.
- ACF Certified Senior Executive Chef or ACF Certified Culinary Administrator.
Other Requirements:
- Able to work effectively and safely while subject to wet floors, temperature extremes and excessive noise; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in weight; must be able to maneuver in an often tightly-quartered environment.
Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays.
