Interplastic Corporation is a specialty chemical company with headquarters in St. Paul, Minnesota. The company focuses on the production and distribution of unsaturated polyester and vinyl ester resins, gel coats, and colorants for the composites and cast polymer industries and stand out in the industry for our focus on customer intimacy. We have an immediate opening for a Customer Service Representative Lead at our St. Paul, MN location. This is not a “call center” … we focus on quality customer service in a complex and fast paced manufacturing environment.

Summary: As an Interplastic Customer Service Representative II you will work with a dedicated portfolio of customers to satisfy their needs and build strong-working relationships. You’ll partner with both external customers and internal teams providing personal and high touch customer care. Additionally, you will support the department’s training initiatives and critical process improvement projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary liaison with Interplastic buyers
  • Receive, prepare and enter inbound purchase orders and changes with accuracy
  • Communicate daily with plant partners to manage the order flow process
  • Confirm and communicate product availability and delivery logistics to customers
  • Administer invoicing, reviewing for accuracy in pricing, product and amount
  • Solve complex problems in a timely manner
  • Manage and process product returns, credits, claims.
  • Support sales representatives by providing logistical guidance and delivery solutions
  • Respond to customer requests for pricing, product, certifications and technical documentation
  • Manage special department and team projects
  • Coordinate and conduct new hire and ongoing training initiatives
  • Liaison with IT in development of new programming/platforms as needed for Customer Service.
  • Look for ways to improve and streamline processes
  • Strive for excellence in and promote team development
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience in a related field
  • 5+ years of related customer service experience
  • High level of Customer Service acumen and business acumen
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in details
  • Must be highly organized and excel in time management
  • Intermediate with MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Exceptional computer knowledge/skills
  • Able to work in a team and independently
  • Problem solving skills

Preferred Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Experience with Salesforce and Oracle, or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
  • Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
