Student Support Specialist (Part-Time position) Job at The Ohio State University
The Community and Youth Collaborative and Institute (CAYCI) in the OSU College of Social Work is looking to hire a student support specialist to facilitate a school-based social work partnership with Hilliard City Schools. The role will be part-time (0.25 FTE; 8 hours – 10 hours) in the first year of the program Jan 2023 – Jan 2024 and increase (0.5 FTE; 20 hours) during the second and third years 2024-2026 of the program.
The student support specialist will oversee the placements of three to six graduate-level social work interns in the three high schools annually, be on-call to engage in school crisis intervention, help to develop linkage and referral protocols, and support program infrastructure and reporting.
This position is ideal for someone looking to work part-time to support student learning and school social work practice for one to two days of the week. A private practice clinician, lecturer, candidate with a flexible work schedule (e.g., online or telehealth), or a former school social worker looking to diversify their roles/responsibilities may be an excellent fit for the position.
An MSW in social work is required, as well as preferably two years of practice experience in a school- or community-based setting. A LISW license is preferable.
