The Maine Community College System (MCCS) is seeking a full-time Senior Integration Developer (Developer). The Developer is a highly skilled computer programmer who is capable of designing, developing, and modifying highly complex integrations and automated processes. The Developer will be required to work through a project from conception to implementation, requiring good organizational skills and attention to detail. This individual is responsible for managing the end-to-end development of software integrations, analyzing issues at the System level, and handling any complications that arise by implementing effective solutions. Prior to development, the Developer will translate college needs into technical applications and support the implementation of new software as we move from a traditional ERP architecture (SQL database, web application) to a cloud-based ERP hosted in Azure. The Developer will utilize APIs to integrate disparate systems, along with modern DevOps tools that deliver user-friendly experiences for students, employees, and community members.
The Senior Integration Developer position is budgeted at an MSEA Support Services Unit, range 26. The required minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, programming, software design or related field and five years of experience in application development, SQL programming, and system administration. An equivalent combination of relevant experience, education, and training may be considered.
The required knowledge, skills, and abilities include, but not limited to, the following: Proven experience with API Frameworks, developing high quality extensible and reusable code solutions, especially development in C#, ASP.NET, MVC, REST, SOAP and SQL Server / Azure SQL; skilled in writing code and documenting complex technical processes, and ability to translate client requirements into technical designs.
