JOB TITLE Secretary
SUMMARY:
May be responsible for multiple duties, including job duties of the receptionist, medical records clerk or data entry clerk.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Education: High School Diploma/GED preferred. Coursework in general office and computers preferred.
Licensure: N/A
Certification: N/A
Experience: Experience in customer service preferred.
Knowledge/Skills: General office skills.
Verbal/written communication skills.
Skilled in use of all major computer applications.
EQUIPMENT:
Computer, fax, copier, and any other equipment required to perform the functions of the position.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Process location specific reports on a routine basis (i.e. admissions, sals, etc.)
2. Interview consumers to collect related data for case opening paperwork.
3. Provide information and referral to callers as appropriate.
4. Prepare written documentation (summaries) of calls in message form. Schedule consumers for Services. Communicate with professional and clinical teams within the location concerning consumers.
5. Prepare and maintain medical and consumer records in a neat and appropriate manner.
6. Prepare typing/transcription correctly as needed.
7. Establishes authorization for services on appropriate consumers with third party payors.
8. Completes follow up with access form and log to assure consumers have kept appointments.
9. Enters access data on CMHC System.
10. Attend and participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings and inservices and individual program planning staffings as needed.
11. All other duties as assigned.
