School Nurse Job at Liberty University
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assists students in securing sites and preceptors for completion of practicum.
• Sub-Administrator of clinical placement databases.
• Work with students, Director of Compliance and Accreditation, and Programmatic Chairs to ensure contracts meet University regulations, student needs and requirements of the School of Nursing.
• Verifies preceptor credentials, professional licenses and qualifications.
• Works closely with field director for preceptor onboarding
• Work with preceptors to complete requirements for becoming compliant with LUSON policy and State regulations.
• Verify student compliance with CastleBranch databases. This includes but is not limited to verification of background check, drug screen, FBI fingerprinting, immunizations, CPR and all other requirements including HIPAA and OSHA education. Also required to ensure compliance of all students with practicum site requirements and Liberty University School of Nursing are met.
• Maintains database to generate reports each semester on Student Placement.
• Maintain spreadsheets of practicum hours required/completed for each student in doctoral level programs and send weekly reports to Field Director of Programmatic Chair.
• Attends department meetings that support graduate and doctoral programs.
• Provide support to special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS
Education and Experience
Four-year college degree, with a concentration in business or another related field. Well-
developed verbal and written communication skills and excellent public relations skills.
Excellent computer skills and experience with MS Office Products.

University to a variety of business and community customers and associates.

5. Excellent computer skills.

1. Intuitively able to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature.
Physical and Sensory Abilities
1. Frequently required to sit for extended periods to perform deskwork or type on a keyboard. (If not administrative duties, such as labor, define general physical abilities.
2. Regularly required to hear and speak in order to effectively communicate orally.
3. Occasionally required to stand, walk, and climb stairs to move about the building.
4. Handle materials, reach overhead, kneel or stoop in order to conduct business.
5. May be required to travel to meet with site administrator and/or preceptors and evaluate opportunities for student placement.
6. Ability to operate a motor vehicle with unrestricted Virginia driver’s license and eligibility to become an approved Liberty University driver.
7. Regularly lift 50 or fewer pounds.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work Environment
The working environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position is a climate-controlled office setting. It is well lighted and the noise level is moderate. (Define if outdoor, dusty, weather conditions, etc.)
