RIO GRANDE RESORT Dishwasher / Steward / Stewarding Supervisor Job at TEAMWORX
JOB OVERVIEW:
Clean and maintain equipment and dishwashing / kitchen / cafeteria / storage and trash removal areas.
Assist in Stewarding functions including wash and sanitize pots / pans / kitchen utensils / equipment. Proper use of chemicals according to OSHA regulations.
Maintenance, organization, inventory and storage of china / glass /silver / food service equipment and transport carts.
Inspect cleanliness and condition of all washed equipment to comply with standards.
Clean equipment, sinks, refrigerators, freezers, service areas, walls, floors, kitchen, dumpster, cafeteria and compactor areas as assigned.
Clean spills immediately and maintain cleanliness and organization of all work areas.
Transport garbage containers safely, empty and clean while adhering to recycle guidelines and following all departmental procedures and sanitation requirements.
SKILLS:
Ability to follow directions and perform duties with attention to detail, accuracy, and with consistent display of teamwork / cooperation.
Able to adapt to changes of work flow, changes in environmental temperature, moisture and noise levels throughout work areas.
Able to safely and efficiently operate machinery, transport equipment and exert physical effort to deliver materials, up to 50lbs.
REQUIREMENTS: Previous experience preferred.
Must maintain a professional appearance and a positive attitude towards all guests and staff.
Health and Good Conduct certificates.
Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English/Spanish with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding.
Ability to provide legible communication and counting accuracy.
Able to work flexible shifts, including weekends, holidays and rotating shifts.
Ability to stand and walk during the entire shift.
