The Residential Program Supervisor is primarily responsible for the day-to-day programming and safety off all Henry House residents and staff. The residential supervisor reports directly to the program director and communicates all safety related and critical incidents to the program director. The residential supervisor manages program clients, crisis management

• 
  Ensures program maintains and meets the requirements of being CBDS
• Provides direction and support for Youth Mentors s in implementing their function and purpose.
• Plan, Coordinate and schedule the work of assigned staff for adequate coverage
• Accountable for the supervision, care and safety of youth placed through the strict adherence to established policies, procedures, and orders in the performance of duties.

• Monitors youth behavior and maintains awareness of residents emotional and physical needs.
• Maintains group control and watches for signs of withdrawal, disturbances, AWOL plans, problems, and issues. Controls noise levels, behavior and diffuses potentially escalating situations.
• Communicates effectively with other shifts, supervisors, youth mentors, youth coordinator, Operations Manager and Program Director
• Generates and maintains required documentation prior to leaving the facility at the end of the assigned shift
• Maintains and enforces security procedures
• Resolves differences among residents and intervenes in youth altercations
• Monitors visiting hours and visitors, insuring authorization and the prevention of contraband passing into the facility
• Effectively plans for and arranges for residents program involvement
• Communicate and coordinate with referral sources including DHS, CUA, the PJJSC, Family Court, Juvenile Probation Dept., District Attorneys Office, and Public Defenders Office

• 
  Must have a bachelors degree in a Human Services related field of study
• At least 1 year of fulltime residential experience or at least 3 years of experience working with children, youth, and families in a dependent of delinquent capacity
• Prior management experience
• Must have working knowledge of the Philadelphia JJS and/or understanding of working with children and youth with complex behavioral challenges
• Valid Drivers License
