Project Finance Analyst (Remote) Job at ICON GPHS
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Project Finance Support: Provide support to the Director, Program Management Team and Project Managers in matters related to the following:
- Provide financial analysis and reporting of programs and initiatives.
- Work with the Project Team to collect bottom up financial forecasts and update estimate to complete (ETC) schedules.
- Prepare and manage project specific deliverables related to financial or contractual requirements. Create ad-hoc reports for the Project Team based on needs and upcoming deadlines.
- Participate in project management meetings to gain insight of ongoing events that can impact results of existing or future performance periods.
- Complete customer/project setup and maintenance within accounting systems and tracking mechanisms to align with contract awards and modifications received.
- Communicate with subcontractors and consultants monthly to gather intel for both forecasting and accruals.
- Accounting Support: Provide support to the Accounting Team for monthly activities related to the following:
- Work with Billing Manager in the preparation of customer invoices, supporting documentation and Accounts Receivable aging activity.
- Assist in monthly close activities including assigned journal entries and reconciliations.
- Provide monthly variance explanations to forecast, related to revenue, cost and profitability.
- Assist with annual budget preparations and incurred cost submissions (ICE) that align to contractual requirements.
- Business Development Support: Provide support to Business Development and Proposal Team as needed, related to the following:
- Support the company’s new business proposal efforts by reviewing cost estimates.
- Assist in preparing pricing schedules to support award activity.
- Maintains a safe workplace ensuring that he/she is aware of and observes appropriate safety and occupational health rules and regulations. Employee is required to attend safety training relative to his/her position and report any infractions of safety procedures to the facility Safety Officer.
- Performs light duties and other related duties as required and assigned.

Experience
Preferred- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance or Business Management.
- 2+ years prior experience in professional level position providing project financial analysis and reporting to external and internal business stakeholders.
- Prior experience in the management/accounting of Government contracts preferred.
- Advanced knowledge Microsoft Office Suite applications, particularly Excel (pivot tables, lookups, SUMIFs, etc.).
- Experience in utilizing software for data extraction and manipulation.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
- Prior experience using Microsoft Dynamics SL and/or UNANET a plus.
- Must be able to work independently following a brief period of specific technical training.
Education
Preferred- Bachelors or better in Accounting or related field
