Our client is a family-owned specialty manufacturer and sub contractor in the acoustic panels industry and located in Kirkwood, MO. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES – Work in teams of two to accomplish one or more of these tasks.
*Special note-position requires you to work with fiberglass panels. Small fiberglass pieces can be in the air and fall off of panels. Some people may find working around fiberglass can irritate skin to itch or irritate asthma. Long sleeves and dusk masks are recommended and/or provided if needed. *

• Detail panels for special cuts or cutouts using utility knives
• Cut panels on vertical panel saw, horizontal beam, and CNC Router
• Edge/route panels using table router and shaper
• Assist with all processes in the shop
• Operate forklift, once certified
• Rotate through all the tasks required in a particular production process
• Housekeeping- Shovel, sweep and clean work areas
• Quality Control: verify quantity, size, and quality of products
• Basic computer skills
• Practice health and safety rules

SKILLS:

• Able to read and follow directions
• Able to use a tape measure
• Carpentry skills helpful (not required)
• Able to operate and work on or around moving machinery and drive a forklift, and to do so in close proximity to others
• Able to use various hand tools and operate adhesive spray guns
• Able to lift 70 pounds in tandem with another person
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact, get along, and cooperate with others
• Able to work upright all day

REQUIREMENTS:

• HS Diploma or Equivalent
• Dependable team member
• Cares about making an exceptional product for the customer
