Compensation:

• Base Wage Compensation: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
• Benefits: Health Care, Dental, Vision and Retirement
• PTO (After 90 days): 10 days per year

ResponsibilitiesResponsible for designing and implementing age-appropriate weekly lesson plans. Coordinate with co-teacher(s) on classroom activities, curriculum development and communications to parents.

• Collaborate with assistant teacher{s) and co-teacher(s) to ensure a variety of activities are offered.
• Provide guidance and leadership to assistant teacher and/or support staff of classroom responsibilities.
• Provide a clean, safe learning environment while maintaining organization of classroom materials and supplies.
• Monitor equipment for safety hazards and inform center director accordingly.
• Develop outdoor curriculum activities for playground and walks in the neighborhood/community.
• Establish community connections with our neighboring businesses.
• Provide mentoring and coaching for assistant teachers
• Positive communication to center director as well as other staff .
• Other childcare duties as assigned.

Daily Tasks: Create and distribute regular communications to parents via email or classroom newsletters. Provide positive communication to parents/families on a daily basis.

• Utilize assigned planning time as well as naptime lo design lesson plans, activities and/or complete daily 'What I did today' sheets, for parents.
• Be responsible for general overall classroom management, physical environment and establish classroom routines to ensure sanitizing, laundry and other responsibilities are being completed.
• Maintain documentation of diapering, bottles, naptimes, and incident reports.
• Provide appropriate emotional and social support for each child's development.
• Use positive guidance and discipline methods that strengthen each child's problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Set up lunch trays for each child and/or train assistant teacher to provide this responsibility, ensuring that allergies are being adhered to.
• Be responsible for playground safety and cleanliness.
• Provide culturally relevant and developmentally appropriate activities and interactions with children.
