What will you be doing?

• Janitorial Midnight Support Assist facilities maintenance and guest service operations. This includes maintaining of offices, grounds, buildings, and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Perform cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing trash.
• Maintaining of offices, grounds, buildings, and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them
• Gather and empty trash, service, clean, and supply restrooms
• Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Steam-clean or shampoo carpets
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours. Carry pager/cell phone as required for security maintenance
• Checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created
• Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events meetings
• Notify management concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and reach
• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to approximately 35 lbs
• Ability to operate powered equipment normally found in janitorial operations.
• Ability to organize work and follow cleaning schedules.
• Ability to work as a member of a team.
• Ability to work adjusted schedules and overtime when required.
• Be aware of facility evacuation procedures. Position is a support role requiring more work direction. Follows generally defined procedures and keeps buildings in clean and orderly condition. Sweeps, mops and polishes floors, shampoos rugs, washes walls and glass, removes trash and litter, and cleans furniture
