Our Omaha, NE office is currently seeking a full-time Structural Engineer to lead, grow and support our structural team. The ideal candidate will have experience in structural steel design projects and performing complex structural planning, analysis and design for all structural aspects of industrial projects. We are looking for someone with great communication skills, who enjoys being part of a team performing office and field work.


Regular job duties include engineering, design, and detailing of deep and shallow foundations, structural steel framed buildings and structures, understand dynamic effects of rotating equipment on structural components, hydraulic loading of in-ground structures, complex structural geometry to support elevated loads, and seismic design. Candidate must be able to perform complex engineering tasks accurately, extract engineering information from CAD drawings, and complete a variety of assignments such as developing drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes. The candidate will need to be able to articulate project scope effectively and be experienced in developing work hour estimates for structural engineering tasks in support of proposal development.


In addition to design and inspection tasks listed, the candidate will be expected to lead the structural design of small to medium sized projects and mentor entry-level staff in design and production of construction drawings. Communication is key for this position. The candidate will need to communicate effectively to direct entry-level staff as well as provide reports and updates to senior-level staff and clients. The candidate will need to be able to work in a team environment with engineers from a multitude of disciplines.

Required Skills
  • Effective communication skills - both verbal and written.
  • Broad understanding of engineering principles required
  • Skilled in project management, managing technical professionals, and demonstrated ability to lead and direct multiple multidiscipline concurrent projects.


Required Experience
  • 6 plus years of experience with a degree in a related area of Structural Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer licensed with the ability to obtain licenses in other states, within 12 months is preferred.
  • Significant experience that demonstrates successful management and financial responsibility of the structural aspects of the engineering project budgets.
  • Excellence in managing project pursuits, preparing proposals, and working with marketing staff.
  • Experience with recruiting high end talent
  • Must be comfortable with frequent travelling

Annual Salary Range: $64,000 - $115,000
