We are hiring for a Medicaid Cash Application Specialist to join our team!

How you will help us on our mission and inspire others:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for entry, tracking, reconciliation and maintenance of Medicaid cash receipts across the Pathway Medicaid portfolio.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Timely entry of Medicaid cash receipt posting.
• Reconciliation of cash received to remittance advices received.
• Provide the Medicaid billing team and Property Accountants information needed in order to efficiently reconcile the cash accounts.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Our top candidates have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Experience entering cash receipts for Medicaid revenue (long-term care experience a plus).
• Advanced Excel skills and knowledge of various computer software programs (previous Yardi experience a plus).
• Familiarity with the State of Illinois Medicaid reimbursement process, preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
• Must maintain and encourage a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that promotes cooperation with co-workers, managers and others with whom contact is made.
• Must have appropriate service orientation, demonstrate competency and professionalism.
• Ability to handle several tasks and respond effectively to unexpected changes, requests and stressful situations.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, polices and procedures, etc., that are necessary to meet objectives.
• Must be willing to travel to communities as necessary.
