Maintenance Manager
Summary
This position is responsible for the management of all personnel who provide preventative and emergency repair service for all plant equipment, buildings, and systems; fabricate spare parts; install new equipment and systems; operate the boilers. The Maintenance Manager works closely with the engineering department and reports directly to the Director of Engineering.
Essential Job Duties
· Achieve and maintain a world class maintenance program
· Monitor expenses and controls the budges for maintenance
· Develop, implement, and maintain maintenance procedures
· Responsible for oversight of all installation, repair, and upkeep of operations of all company facilities
· Prioritizes work across the team
· Provides oversight of the Maintenance Planning Team and activities
· Proactively work with Engineering to identify and correct problems
· Foster relationships with contractors and service providers
· Keep up to date with new technology and make recommendations for upgrades
· Work closely with Maintenance Reliability Team to proactively identify issues and ensure minimal downtime year round
· Ensure maintenance involvement in planning for and addressing problems, process changes and the establishment of proper usage of equipment parameters
· Champions the Maintenance Staff in hiring, training, and talent development of employees
· Participates in several manufacturing committees as assigned by manager
· Other duties as required by the business.
· Adhere to all company policies and all safety, food safety, feed safety, and sanitation rules and programs
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with proven experience and success
· CMMP certification or extensive knowledge of all facets of beet sugar manufacturing
· 5-8 years in manufacturing leadership positions
· Strong physics and chemistry background
· Understand what is required of food manufacturing facilities by FDA including CFR’s, OSHA, NDSDH, SQF, GMP+B2, and FAMI QS guidelines
· Strong leadership skills
· Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills
· Organized with excellent time management skills
· Strong computer technology skills
· Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels
· Good verbal, written, and presentation skills

Electrician II
Summary
This position assists in performing instrumentation, industrial computer, and electrical maintenance and construction as directed. This position reports directly to the Electrician Foreperson.

- Others: Instrumentation, Industrial Computer, Electrical Techs, Factory Management, Operations personnel
Essential Job Duties
- The Electrician II assists Instrument Techs, Industrial Computer Techs, and Electrical Techs in their jobs.
- The Electrician II must strive to obtain the necessary qualifications needed to obtain the position of Instrument Tech, Industrial Computer Tech, or Electrical Tech.
- The Electrician II will do some maintenance and construction jobs on their own as their knowledge, skills, and experience progress.
- Keep work areas clean.
- Complete reports as required.
- Develop the process, electrical, instrumentation, and programming skills of self and others through training.
- Use people, time, equipment, and material in the most efficient manner.
- Report mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, environmental, food safety, feed safety, and operational problems, and unsafe conditions to supervisor.
- Other duties as required by the business.

Qualifications
- Two year degree or diploma in an electrical or instrumentation field from an approved trade or technical school is desired

- An Electrician II must be able to successfully demonstrate the methods involved in the wiring and maintenance of Minn-Dak’s electrical systems and equipment. This includes all Control Technician III capabilities plus the following:
- Know Minn-Dak’s controls
- Know Minn-Dak voltages and location of MCC’s and panel boards
- Know how to trouble shoot and repair VFD’s at the board and semi conductor level
- Know how to get into Minn-Dak PLC program to trouble shoot field devices
- Fill in for rotating shift
