PMP Personnel Services is partnered with a plastics processing client in Gladwin who is actively looking to hire qualified individuals for a Thermoforming Machine Operator career who are ready to start immediately. The ideal candidate will have Thermoforming Machine Operator experience.

Thermoforming Machine Operator Qualifications:

• Ensures product meets quality standards by conducting functional tests to QC standards, documents material issues when defects are identified and notifies Production Lead and/or Mechanic if process corrections are required.
• Accurately loads/unloads material rolls from machines, verifies, and sets machine settings per the sheet settings. Safely uses appropriate lift trucks to maneuver rolls.
• Properly and timely starts/stops/restarts machine, removes scrap and rewind.
• Correctly operates thermoforming, automation, and auxiliary equipment (i.e. case tapers, grinders, stackers, case erectors, stretch wrapper).
• cleans all production equipment and maintains a safe work area.
• Assists with setup of machines as needed.

Thermoforming Machine Operator Responsibilities:

To be considered for the Thermoforming Machine Operator position, applicants should:

• Effective communication, include speaking, writing, active listening and taking instruction.
• Good leadership and training skills
• Quick troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Advanced knowledge of following blueprints and manuals
• Excellent mechanical skills, including comfort with using tools to make simple repairs.
• Great time management
• Keen attention to detail to identify maintenance, product or operations issues.
• Ability to stand, sit or be in other physically demanding positions for long periods of time
• Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-year experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to pass a basic math test.
• Understand the importance of being a team player or know how to work independently.
• Ability to use forklift
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must understand that attendance is very important in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to pass Drug Screen and Background Check, and Dependable Transportation.
