AVA Pork Products, located in Hicksville, NY is one of the leading manufacturers of quality beef & pork. We are currently seeking Machine Line Operator to join our team.

Responsibilities:

• Operate production equipment in a safe and efficient manner (must have previous machine experience with labels and wrapping products).
• Knowledge of Preventive Maintenance (PM) is required.
• Equipment inspections and diagnostics.
• Minor equipment maintenance and repair experience preferred.
• Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to assuring the machines are running properly; no product leaks, products are sealed properly, etc.
• Other tasks as assigned by the Mechanic and/or Director of Engineering

Requirements:

• This is a physical, active position that requires standing, bending, lifting, carrying, kneeling, etc
• Able to lift approximately 10-60 pounds
• Able to work in a wet/slippery refrigerated environment (30 - 35 degrees)
• Spanish Bilingual is a PLUS
• 1st Shift / 10-12 Hour Shifts / (6 Days a week)
• Reliable Transportation
• Candidates with previous experience on Machine Maintenance and diagnostics
