Job Description
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Minimal physical requirements. Wiping down / sanitizing equipment; see full list under “duties”.
TIME REQUIREMENTS: 8-9 hours per week in the Mac Lab/Cornwell 325, Sunday through Thursday.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: • Upon entering the room:

Lighting Studio / Cornwell 322 – Registered Photography students will occasionally need you to give them access. They are responsible for all set up, break down, and clean up of the Lighting Studio. Upon completion of their time, they will notify you. Please make sure the AC/Heat units are turned off, and the door is shut / locked.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: • Upon entering the room:
- Prop open the door and turn on the lights.
- Check the room for:
- Scrap paper left about the room and on desktops.
- Straighten up the paper cutter area i.e. Scraps of paper again.
- Check the recycle box and trash and empty if necessary.
- Check printers for adequate paper supply in their drawers.
- Add paper if necessary; found in the bottom of the cabinet.
- Notify me or IT if there is a need for a new ink toner cartridge, as to when the printers indicate that the time is near for toners to run out. stmcbride@mhu.e- du, or khollfield@mhu.edu
- It is important to note that a toner must not be replaced until it says so
- Check the white board and clean if necessary.
- Straighten chairs in front of each computer.
- Clean computer screens if necessary, i.e. Lots of finger prints, and they do get them more so than in other labs. *Spray on the cloth first, rather than on the computer itself.
- The bottle of cleaning spray is on the book shelf, with a cloth.
- Once you have done the screen cleaning, use the cloth to dust and wipe down the computer to finish it off.
- Remember the keyboard, and mouse as well- top and bottom. *Especially during cold and flu season, it is really important to wipe down the key- boards and mice.
End of your shift it is important to check and log off all computers that are left on and not in use.
- Plug in & charge the New Mac mice/keyboards when needed, Sunday and Wed. evenings or whenever needed. Make sure all “cords” remain with each Mac / keyboard.
- Turn off lights and close / lock door at end of shift, unless there is another shift, meeting, or another lab monitor is in the room for the time following
- If you are working a Sunday shift call security to let you in the building and be sure that the back door and front door are unlocked for you.
- Do not log in and out using your phone – use the lab computers for that only.
- The ink jet printer is only for Art Major use, it is monitored by the faculty

This is a job that numbers of people depend upon you for, and you have been hired to be their support. There are a number of folks who wish to have this job, it’s a great one.
