Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Perform fertilization, weed control, insect control, disease control and other services to customer properties.
• Drive the company vehicles in a safe manner.
• Load vehicle(s) with the proper products and equipment every day.
• Follow personal protective equipment instructions and labels on products.
• Able to navigate our customer driving area by use of map books and/or GPS units.
• Complete paperwork to customers and internal communications in a neat and legible manner.
• Perform call/email/text ahead in a professional manner.
• Keep yourself, company vehicles, company equipment and your office space clean.
• Inspects vehicles and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.
• Handles customer service calls and/or customer issues in the office and/or at the customer’s property in a professional manner.
• Inputs production into customer handhelds.
• Participates in sales activities and programs.
• Performs aerations and overseeding.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· Lawn/Horticulture/Agronomy/Lawn care services a plus, preferred, will train

· 18 years old, per State Law for applicator’s

· Valid Vermont Drivers License

· High School Diploma, and advanced knowledge of Agronomics preferred, not required. We will train the right individual.

· Good physical health and able to lift 50lbs at one time

· Good, basic math knowledge

· Understands software/computers

· Must obtain and maintain State of Vermont applicator’s licenses: CORE & 3B. (can attain at time of employment on a strict timeline).

Skills/Experience

Self-motivated, organized, and able to use initiative and solid judgment. Able to communicate effectively on all levels. Experience in lawn/horticulture/agronomy/lawn care service is a plus. We will assist in training you to complete appropriate certifications, licenses, and registrations as required by federal and state law, and outlined as required for the position/company needs.

Willingness to work independently and as a member of the team and be flexible with work hours and schedule to responsibly complete scheduled season work. Be self-confident in communications with customers and their questions. Able to trouble shoot most problems and be a team player, has good interpersonal skills to work directly with customers, co-workers, and company leaders. Able to make sound, rational decisions, able to accept responsibility, able to use own initiative, able to lead as well as follow.
