Position Overview

Vantage is looking for an ambitious, detail-oriented Angular Software Developer to join our Software Development team. This team and position works hand in hand with several other teams that are responsible for operating our data centers. In this role, you will research, design, implement and manage software programs in support of our core businesses.

Essential Job Functions

• Design and develop software in Angular to support core business functions
• Manage multiple one-time and/or ongoing projects
• Work under limited supervision, both independently and within a team environment
• Use discretion and judgment in organizing workflow and adapting as priorities are modified due to a changing environment

Duties

• Write code that supports these objectives and provides optimal functionality
• Edit and improve upon code in existing software programs and applications
• Collaborate with management and the software architect to determine programming objectives
• Ensure code is error-free, readable, efficient, and logically organized for ease of access
• Aptly name variables and include code comments for future users
• Provide supplemental program instructions and diagrams for code in layman’s terms
• Develop set systems and tasks for efficient coding processes
• Run extensive tests and trial runs to confirm proper functionality and desired results
• Operate debugging software and seek out the root cause of error in coding or sequences
• Perform detailed, manual checks of code
• Troubleshoot errors effectively and efficiently
• Utilize information from code libraries to ease and expedite the coding process
• Provide model diagrams and prototypes of programming system
• Collaborate in cross-functional projects
• Stay abreast of industry breakthroughs and any new relevant programming technology

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports
• 5+ years of experience with all of the following

Experience with Angular 13+ & jQuery
Experience with writing Unit tests, Cypress a plus.
Experience using and maintaining SQL databases, preferably Postgres
Familiar with Test-Driven Development
Experience working with Agile methodologies (Scrum, XP) and cross-functional teams (Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Developers, Designers, Business Analysts)
Skilled in documentation including business logic flows and technical writing

• 5+ years of experience in as many of the following as possible

Experience with Gradle
Experience with hibernate or similar ORM
Experience with Core Java and multithreaded programming
Experience with Spring Boot, MVC and other Spring modules
Experience with writing Unit tests using JUnit and mocking frameworks
Experience with Restful web services
Experience with Azure or similar cloud technologies
Experience with CI/CD process and tools

• Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel and building automation systems
• Travel required is expected to be less than 10%, but may increase over time as the business evolves

Additional Details:

• Salary Range: $120,000 - $145,000 Base + Bonus (this range is based on Colorado market data and may vary in other locations)
• This position is eligible for company benefits including but not limited to medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and AD&D, short and long-term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program that includes company match, and many other additional voluntary benefits.
