Field Service Technician Job at Quaker Windows
Position Overview:
The Field Service Technician works with the Engineering team to ensure the successful completion of field tests for new and existing projects, perform job-site inspections and provide technical assistance to internal and external customers.

- Observe the completion of field product tests and installations to ensure compliance with company/industry standards
- Conduct root-cause analysis to identify source of known quality issues
- Meet with customers/general contractors onsite to review findings and establish appropriate countermeasures
- Compile data to produce reports and documentation relevant to assigned projects of high complexity

- Must have the ability to read architectural drawings, shop drawings and factory orders
- Operate precision measurement devices to perform inspection
- Comply with all safety requirements
Competencies:
- Excellent verbal and written English language skills are required as well as good customer service skills
- Reading and comprehension skills
- Must be able to present information, gather information, and respond to questions from customers, managers, co-workers
- Works independently and collaborative in nature.
- Use of hand and power tools
- Identify and troubleshoot moderate to complex issues
Preferred Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of construction experience
- Must have a Class E driver's license
- Clean driving record
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position and requires extensive travel. The days of work are Monday-Friday. A minimum of 40 hours per week will be required. Occasional weekend work is possible.
Work Environment:
- Seasonal high/low temperatures and humidity
- Elevated heights
- Must be willing and able to comply with all plant safety regulations including wearing the appropriate PPE
Physical Demands:
Use of all ambulatory functions including standing, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, crouching, stretching, pulling and frequent lifting of 75+ lbs. This position could require long periods of standing.
