Sun Health is looking for big-hearted, invested, and thorough Director of Technology and Security to join our vibrant team at Administration Office in Surprise, AZ.

Statement of Purpose: This position will be responsible for the day to day functions of operating IT, including servers, Network operations, Desktops, Laptops, Windows Server Operations, Phone Systems, and all aspects of information security.

Other responsibilities will be to identify and improve the reliability, security and effectiveness of IT systems; manage all procedures related to the identification, prioritization, and resolution of IT Help Desk issues; contribute to problem resolution by giving hands-on support to resolve IT operational issues; execute, administer and communicate operational IT policies, procedures, and best practices; ensure proper protection of company data and systems including backup and disaster planning; maintain inventory of IT assets including hardware and software; desktop configuration and maintenance; telephone system (VOIP), Wi-Fi, Planning and Support; mobile device support; manage and contribute to overall network health and will manage information security projects of significant scope and complexity while administering day-to-day security operations; as well as End User Support.

Reports to: VP of Information Technology

Compensation: This is an exempt salaried position eligible for performance compensation bonus of 20%.

Major Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities:

· Responsible for improving the stability, security and performance of the Sun Health network and associated infrastructure.

· Analyzes complex business needs presented by the user community and/or clients and recommends technical solutions. Develop Sun Health security policies and ensure adherence to security best practices.

· Provides research and recommendations of the infrastructure vision to meet the current and future IT needs. Plan, manage, monitor, and respond to cyber security needs. Develop security integration plans that support these needs.

  • Ensure the alignment and integration of IT with the overall vision and values of Sun Health.
  • Manages network and service desk teams to ensure quality of work, and a secure environment; recommends technology certification programs for direct reports.
  • Work with team to enhance current technologies to improve client services.
  • Research, evaluation and analysis of technologies and tools taking into consideration performance, cost/benefit, scalability, risk etc. Makes appropriate suggestions and decisions related to purchase and implementation of these.
  • Participates on all hardware and software evaluations and maintains vendor contracts.
  • Manage hardware and vendor relationships.
  • Responsible for the delivery of IT infrastructure services and maintains oversight of service level agreements with vendors, suppliers and partners.
  • Responsible for budgeting, designing, implementing, and maintaining all community infrastructure assets including LAN’s, WAN’s, SAN’s, hardware, storage, etc.
  • Ensures proper installation of new servers and hardware configuration.
  • Ensures the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions.
  • Ensure best practices and written documentation for all server maintenance.
  • Oversee change management and audit related to WAN, LAN, Server, Storage, etc.
  • Responsible for building and maintaining system security, back-up, privacy and disaster recovery procedures and plans.
  • Designs and measures regular system monitoring for security purposes
  • Communicate regularly with executive management on information technology

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $125,000.00 - $138,010.10 per year
