Director of Career Services Job at UCLA
The Executive Director of the Professional MBA Career Management Center sets and executes strategy, policies, budget, technology, staffing and staff development for Professional MBA CMC operation. This position collaborates with FEMBA/EMBA Dean and Deans of Admissions, Student Affairs, and Parker Career Management Center to develop strategies and programming that benefits students and Anderson Brand. The position identifies staffing needs including identifying partnerships, contractors, alumni, employees and volunteers to provide outstanding support to students. The role develops, monitors and tracks a $200,000+ budget that meets demands of students and Anderson.
This position has full management responsibility including: recruiting, hiring, training, coach mentoring and certification, performance management, merit increases, reclassifications, discharge and discipline, complaint and grievance resolution for a staff of up to 40 individuals which includes FTE of 3.5 (2 FTE Professional Executive Coaches (PSS 4 and PSS 5), 1 Operations Manager; and 6 to 12 Part-Time Professional (PSS 5) or Contract Coaches (Executives and Alumni in Residence); 2-4 student workers; 15-21 student leaders responsible for FEMBA FACT Teams and FEMBA FACS Teams.
The position of Executive Director, Professional MBA Career Management Center, directs all program and personnel aspects of the FEMBA Career Management Center as well as providing resources (staff and on-line) in collaboration with the EMBA program, delivering career services to up to 1200 Professional MBA students at Anderson. In addition to directing all aspects of the Professional MBA CMC, the position oversees FEMBA On-Campus Recruiting, and serves as a FEMBA Career Leadership @Anderson Executive Coach providing Executive Coaching MBA students.
The Executive Director takes primary responsibility for evaluation of career services including creation, implementation and reporting of annual US News and World Report Graduate Survey, as well as initiating appropriate enhancements and additional resources. The position represents UCLA Professional MBA CMC at off-site events and conferences and serves as the primary spokesperson for Professional MBA career services as needed.
The Executive Director is an International Coach Federation (ICF) Certified Professional Certified Executive Coach and Mentor Coach and manages the staff of Professional MBA FEMBA Coaches who are all Certified as Executive Coaches from the ICF.
