Position Summary
The Diagnostics Oligo Manufacturing Technician I position is responsible for performing manufacturing activities in compliance with company procedures and external regulatory requirements, as directed by the department supervisor, manager, or director.

Education/Experience/Licenses/Certifications
Requires a bachelor’s degree, and/or demonstration of ability to meet the requirements of a Diagnostic Oligo Manufacturing Technician I
Essential
- Perform manufacturing activities according to written protocols, as directed by the departmental supervisor, manager, or director
- Maintain batch records, equipment logs, and other production records as directed per company procedures
- Ensure lab consumables are available and order/coordinate for replenishment
- Maintain a clean and orderly lab environment. Pursue continuous improvements in the lab and production areas
- Perform routine maintenance of equipment used in manufacturing
- Communicate and when permitting, troubleshoot process and instrument-related issues and seek guidance from management
- Work on special projects with the guidance and support of the department team lead, supervisor, manager or director.
- Understand root cause analysis on recurring manufacturing issues, and execute actionable tasks on potential CAPAs
- Review and revise manufacturing procedures and documentation used in PetDx manufacturing labs
- Initiate Change Controls with guidance of supervisor, manager, director, or quality representative
- Carry out DNR action plans in accordance with established procedures
- Support manufacturing technicians and associates on daily procedures
- Initiate and follow up on support tickets or repair tickets as needed
- Conscientiously learns requirements of the ISO 13485 quality management system and diligently follows the terms of a quality contract, which describes the relevance and importance of the employee’s work to the achievement of LGC’s quality objectives
- Schedule/Core Hours – e.g., Monday – Friday 8:00am-4:30pm with potential for overtime hours as the workload requires and with manager’s pre-approval
- Adherence to company Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) policy
Other Skills and Abilities:
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as on teams
- Professional presence and strong attention to detail is required
- Technical proficiency that enables effective execution of documented procedures
- Demonstrated experience with common computer software packages (Windows, MS Office, etc.)
- Able to multi-task work in a fast paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
- Strong communication and problem solving abilities are necessary.
