The connection has a fantastic opportunity with our organization for an onsite Desktop Support Technician for one of our large clients in Lake Forest, IL. This is a full-time opportunity with excellent benefits including but limited to medical, dental, vision, 401K, tuition reimbursement, and 3 weeks of PTO.

Responsibilities:
  • Advising staff on appropriate procedures for directing their IT-related questions and recommendations.
  • Receiving and documenting requests for support.
  • Deciding on the most suitable ways of providing support.
  • Delivering IT and related assistance upon request.
  • Configuring new desktops, routers, modems, and similar devices.
  • Performing routine inspections and upkeep of existing installations.
  • Updating computer operating systems and other important software, as needed.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years experience.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Candidate should have an A+ (or be willing to obtain one if hired)
  • Windows 10 knowledge.
  • Hardware repair experience in both PC and Printer.
  • Excellent Customer Service skills.
  • Experienced with providing PC support both desk-side and remote.
  • Able to work alone or as part of a team.
  • Microsoft Office 365 experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Symantec Altiris or other desktop management software (Microsoft SCCM) is a plus.
  • Must pass a background test and drug screen.
