Wholesale distributor to the automatic gate and access community seeks a result-driven, customer-facing associate for our Spokane, Washington location. To be successful as a warehouse and counter sales associate, you should provide excellent customer service, consistently maintain the image and vision of the organization, and achieve the sales goals of the company. An outstanding warehouse associate will take the initiative on all inbound and outbound shipments and maintain an organized warehouse. This position will also require you to display a positive attitude focusing on customer satisfaction and possess excellent interpersonal skills.

Our company deals in the fast-growing market of perimeter security. This business is similar to that of a car parts distributor: it includes a customer service counter, warehouse, and shipping/receiving area. However, unlike car parts distributors, we sell wholesale only to qualified professional licensed installers.

Our staff provides best-in-class sales, customer service, deep product knowledge, and technical support. We support our professional installer dealers with product selection, system integration, technical support/training, and troubleshooting. Successful candidates must love to be constantly learning about and training others on the mechanical, electric, and programmable products we represent. We are not box movers!

SKILLS and RESPONSIBILITIES

· Pick and package products and parts for shipment and will call

· Receive inbound products and put them on shelving as needed.

· Stock inventory by hand and forklift (must be able to lift up to 60 lbs. comfortably)

· Forklift experience

· Proven organization and the ability to self-start multiple tasks

· Effectively process returned material through the given set of procedures.

· Answer telephones professionally and pleasantly, assisting customers, taking orders, and providing relationship-building customer service.

· Promptly assist customers at the counter. Ask pertinent questions, provide the information they may need, take orders, and provide excellent customer service

· Data entry and retrieval on the computer system, including entering customer orders, branch transfers, obtaining quotation information, inventory information, and pricing.

· Assist in maintaining the appearance of the branch as needed, straightening, cleaning counter area, warehouse, bathrooms, etc.

· Assist in year-end physical inventories as requested.

· Perform other responsibilities as directed

· Strong verbal and written communicator

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, MS Excel and comfortable with computer usage

EDUCATION

High School diploma or GED required. Electrical and or mechanical skills, experience, and/or training are a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
