We are hiring IMMEDIATELY for a Crisis Services Program Manager to join one of our community mental health providers!
This position qualifies for a hire on bonus of $5000 with 1/2 paid with 1st check after hire and 1/2 paid with 1st check following 6-month probationary period.
This position will be required to perform a variety of supervisory functions of both QMHP and QMHA staff. This position must qualify as a QMHP and may also provide direct crisis or forensic services to adult and child populations when appropriate. The Crisis Services Program Manager provides oversight and coordination of crisis outreach and follow up to assist clients with emergent or urgent access to services. This involves ensuring communication and follow through with referral sources following the initial disposition of these cases.
Essential Duties include but not limited to:
- Directly supervises 24-hour programs of crisis staff and services; this will also include afterhours consulting and supervision on a rotation of management staff.
- Monitors mobile crisis response and reporting.Facilitates daily crisis meeting and others as needed; delegates daily tasks to staff as needed.
- Oversees programs performing crisis assessments throughout the county, i.e. those done in response to low law enforcement calls, local emergency departments, jail or elsewhere.
- Crisis assessments may include:Mental Status Examinations, CSSRS, appropriate treatment recommendations.
- Identifying client’s natural support system and being able to work within that system as appropriate to facilitate in client’s recovery.
- Communicating and coordinating with community partners the initial disposition of their referrals.
- Oversees involuntary commitment process including investigations and court testimony as required by law. May performs investigation reports and testify as needed.
- Oversees Aid and Assist Evaluations (forensic programming) and participates in Aid and Assist Court.
- Manages completion and submission of OHA/state required reports related to Mobile Crisis and Aid/Assist programs.
- Attends meetings relevant to Crisis Services and may provide trainings to community partners, agency staff, and others.
- Oversees back up crisis response within request by another supervisor or clinician of the day who requests it, and delegates these tasks to team as appropriate.
- Oversees the clinical and operational structure of 24-hour mobile crisis coverage and clinician scheduling.
- Provides regular supervision to members of the crisis team.
- Consults and coordinates services with community partners.
- Ensures obtainment of Releases of Information for all programs managed so that consultation and coordination with other community agencies is compliant and efficient.
- Provides psycho-education to clients, families and the community as needed.Participates in regular team and agency meetings.
- Oversees completion and maintenance of all clinical documents and client files according to compliance standards with the State of Oregon Administrative Rules and Quality Assurance standards established. This includes, but is not limited to, Assessments, Aid and Assist Consults, Pre-Commitment Investigations, Progress Notes (Service Tickets), Care Coordination notes, etc.Maintains client confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards of the profession.
- Oversees coordination of discharge planning with all treatment providers.
- The ability to remain flexible to the changing demands of a mental health system and the needs of the agency.
Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in the Behavioral Sciences
- QMHP certification or ability to get QMHP certification within 30 days of hire.
- Demonstrated experience (at least 1 year) in supervision and management.
- Valid Driver’s License and an MVR that meets agency insurance requirements.
- Pass a state required background check.
Preferred:
- Licensure – active license in Oregon with any of the following licensing Boards (LPC, LMFT, LCSW).
- Demonstrated experience (at least 1 year) in supervision and management.
- At least 7 years of outpatient clinical experience
