The Etica Group is actively seeking a reliable INDOT certified Construction Inspector for Central Indiana. The qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate experience in Construction Inspection for various INDOT related projects and have familiarity with the INDOT process of roadway plan and specifications development. The applicant must be able to work within a team or independently and travel when needed with the State of Indiana.
Qualifications, Requirements, and Experience:
At least 3 years of experience of construction inspection on federally funded road and bridge projects is preferred but not required.
Completed INDOT Certified Technician Program (CTP) six areas of certification (or Civil Engineering Degree)
Site Manager Certified or can be within 30 days
Proficient in performing field testing of concrete, soils, aggregates, asphalt, and other construction materials
Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills
Proficient use of Microsoft Word and Excel
CAD/Micro Station and/or Surveying experience is preferable
Typical Responsibilities:
Work under the direct supervision of the PE/PS
Communicate and coordinate with contractors’ staff on a daily basis
Complete daily reports
Create field drawings
Perform field measurements
Able to read and interpret plans, specifications, and shop drawings
Able and willing to work in inclement weather
Able to lift 50 lbs.
Perform standard mathematical calculations, including trigonometry
Assist the PE/PS in the completion of the Final Construction Record
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
