Cashier / Customer Service Representative -

Compensation$15 Hourly

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide welcoming and engaging customer service.
• Smile, have fun and maintain a positive, upbeat attitude!
• Work quickly while serving customers in a friendly & efficient manner.
• Reconcile cash receipts and charged sales with shift manager at end of shift to verify accuracy.
• Maintain food quality at Garrett Popcorn Shops standards.
• Follow Garrett standards by filling each bag or tin with the correct amount of popcorn.
• Fold and seal bags in the approved Garrett manner to maintain freshness.
• Every team member is responsible for ensuring that their store is clean, presentable to customers, and fully stocked at all times. This includes sharing the responsibilities of cleaning.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Must have basic math skills and be able to make correct change.
• Basic knowledge of the functions of POS systems and cash registers preferred.
• Experience with food preparation in a fast-paced environment is preferred but not necessary.
• Able to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
• Able to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
• Must have (or acquire) current Illinois Food Handler Certificate.

Physical Demands

• Standing a minimum of 4 hours per day.
• Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, and occasionally lift 50lbs.

· Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.

· Experience with food preparation in a fast-paced environment preferred but not necessary.

· Must possess basic math skills and have the ability to accurately measure ingredients.

· Must have (or acquire) current Illinois Food Handler certificate.
