Are you looking for a job that is extremely fulfilling? Do you want a job where you make a difference? Come join our ResCare team as a caregiver, providing personal care assistance and help to individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) in a group home setting.
No experience necessary, we will provide you with paid training.
Full time, day, and overnight shifts available in Paris and surrounding areas.
Job Qualifications:
- 18 years of age or older
- Current Driver's License
- High School Diploma/GED required (in most cases)
- Ability to handle physical aspects of the job, including bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, and walking for periods of time
Direct Support Professional (DSP) Job duties include:
- Performing personal care tasks, including assistance with basic personal hygiene and grooming, feeding, and ambulation, medical monitoring, and health care related tasks.
- Fostering positive relationships between individuals served and their housemates
- Ensuring client safety and maintaining a safe environment
- Reminding/assisting client with self-administration of medications (with proper training)
- Encouraging self-help activities
- Reporting changes in client's condition or family situation and documenting services provided
- Accompanying client to scheduled appointments
