Award Manager Job at ACDI/VOCA
Overview:
Under direction of the Managing Director of Award Management Services, the Award Manager will assist with award administration of USG, UN, and other donor assistance and acquisition awards. The Award Manager will be responsible for the compliance aspects of prime and subaward funding mechanisms and modifications (i.e. cooperative agreements, grants, contracts, etc.). The Award Manager will also work with field and home office staff to ensure compliance with organizational and donor rules and regulations while providing procedural and policy guidance on grants, subawards and procurements and working with Award Management colleagues to provide training to staff in subaward and grants management.

- Bachelor’s degree or Master's degree. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of advanced degree.
- Minimum 6-7 years’ experience in U.S. government contracts, grants, or finance administration.
- Working knowledge of 2 CFR 200 & 700 and the Federal Acquisition Regulations required.
- Spanish language competency highly desirable.
- Provide support to project start-ups and closeouts on procurement and subaward planning and implementing systems and policies that adhere to donor and organizational requirements.
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
- Ability to rapidly acquire familiarity with AV policies and funding agency requirements and provide support to strengthen systems and processes.
- Provide the following services to project staff in the home office and country offices:
- Providing capacity building support to field staff in all aspects of subaward management.
- interpreting USAID, USDA, UN, World Bank and other donor rules and regulations for assistance and award/contract management.
- Provide training for AV staff on donor requirements and ACDI/VOCA policies and procedures.
- Conduct reviews and provide input into donor submissions including no-cost extension, waivers, and other approvals and formal communications.
- Reviews contractual documents, including award documents, negotiation memos, budget, scopes of work, solicitation documents (RFA, RFP, RFQ, etc.), for business and legal risks and to ensure compliance with AV and donor requirements.
- There will be occasional opportunities to travel to provide training to country office staff (2-3 times a year).
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Keep updated on donor rules and regulations for assistance and acquisition awards.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with other ACDI/VOCA staff as well as funding agency personnel.

- Experience with USAID, USDA or non-profit/for profit international development organization is preferred, and an interest in working international development also desirable.

- Creative problem-solving skills are a must and some knowledge of current adaptive management initiatives (USAID’s current initiative and initiatives local NGOs are undergoing) is desirable.
- Spanish language competency highly desirable.
- Experience with multi-media applications, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft programs.
- Demonstrated excellence in oral, written and reading comprehension abilities.
- Must be available during core business hours and/or operating hours for international time differences; flexibility to work more hours when needed.
- Flexibility to work in office based on work demands.
