Wood Door Detailer

Applicants must have detailing and estimating work experience for an architectural door, frame, or hardware manufacturer or distributor.

The right candidate provides exceptional customer service by converting customer orders into proper details that meet defined specifications, building codes and customer desires, as well as information that our manufacturing group can turn into the best doors.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Convert customer specifications into Oshkosh Door terminology in our computer system (Friedman/AS400)
• Learn and understand door manufacturing and hardware and translate technical details into manufacturing language
• Assure complete accuracy of order prior to sending to manufacturing
• Communicate by phone and email with external and internal customers clearly and concisely to ensure accurate production and delivery

Desired Skills and Abilities:

• Detailing and estimating experience for an architectural door, frame, or hardware manufacturer or distributor
• Associate Degree or higher
• Microsoft Office Suite Experience
• AS400 and/or TurboCAD experience a plus
• High level of accuracy and detail orientation
• Ability to think through customer requests
• Highly organized
• Able to comprehend complex topics
