MedShare seeks a Warehouse Associate for the Southeast Distribution Center. The Warehouse Associate assists the Director of Operations with coordination of certain key activities as outlined below.

Hours – 40-hour work week
Monday-Friday 8am – 4:30pm
Schedule may vary

Reports To: Director of Operations, Southeast Region

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Pull, stage, and load shipments
• Records all donations as they are delivered
• Initial assessment of product received
• Weigh, label, and locate product as received
• Inventory product as needed
• Consolidate locations
• Coordinate servicing of sort room before and after volunteer sort sessions
• Coordinate activities related to the loading of each container
• Monitor basic supply levels and notifies
• Manager when re-orders are needed
• Assist in weighing of product
• Maintain cleanliness of warehouse
• Observe safety regulations
• Report any problems with equipment or racking to Director of Operations
• Locate or put up any ordered supplies that are received
• Assist donors when they deliver product to warehouse and assist recipients that come to pick items up
• Pull down skids and equipment for other departments as necessary
• Help with special event set ups
• Work on special projects as needed and other duties as assigned
• Work with volunteer center staff and volunteers in the sorting area as required
• Serve as back-up driver as needed

Requirements

• Forklift certification with at least 3 years of experience on stand-up and sit-down lifts
• Ability to safely operate standard warehouse equipment to include hand pallet jacks
• Proven ability to work steadily and independently with minimum supervision and to follow standardized procedures
• Ability to perform regular physical activity on a daily basis in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Excellent customer service experience and comfortable interacting with volunteers
• Understanding of non-profit organizations
• High School Diploma or equivalent required (some college preferred)
• Able to lift 100 lbs.
• Must be able to pass background check and credentialing with hospital partners
