Manufacturing Training Supervisor

Peace River Citrus Products, Inc. Clower Facility

SUMMARY:

This position performs specific job training, writes SOPs, and communicates employee progress to the area supervisor. This position reports to the Facility Manager while still being guided by the area manager and supervisor regarding specific training instructions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Creates and Maintains SOP training program documentation.
• Retains training for employee records and audits.
• Tracks success and process improvements.
• Performs new hire orientation, on-boarding, various ongoing, and refresher trainings.
• Provides management with employee progress; including assessments, such as quizzes.
• Able to communiate with employees at all levels from plant floor to management.
• Writes and updates job descriptions.
• Coordinates training with leadership.
• Works with other training, including safety and human resources.
• Perform various additional administrative duties as required.
• Must be self-motivated, enthusiastic about training, organized, accurate, and detail oriented.
• Must be flexible when coordinating training, including last minute changes.
• Willingness to work off-shift in for a minimal amount of time, as need.
• Professional communication skills, both verbally and written.
• Patience, ability give instructions to a wide variety of people on a daily basis.
• Maintains confidentiality is critical.
• Computer software savvy.
• Build relationships with internal and external key stakeholders to understand their requirements and address requests/issues in a timely fashion.
• Comply with FDA, USDA, and GMP policies. Perform all tasks in a safe manner to ensure achievement of Quality, Food Safety, and Cost objectives. Comply with all standard operating procedures and requirements under PRCP Quality System.
• Participate in the quality improvement process.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
• Meets all "Good Manufacturing Practices".
• Practices safety requirements established by OSHA and Peace River Citrus Products.
• Be available to work extended shifts and days.
• Any additional duties assigned by supervisor.
• Researches training opportunities to leadership.
• Collaborate with leadership to identify professional development needs within the department.
• Foster an environment of excellence by having fun, learning, and enabling others to achieve their goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven experience in training and documentation.
• Experience in the financial sector with previous possible roles such as financial analyst
• Ability to provide instructions in a learning environment.
• Able to build relationships with leadership, employees, and auditors.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
• Proficient using software.

• Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
• Commitment to excellence and high standards.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Flexible and a willing to work within environment in which priorities may of changing at the last minute.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Power Point, Access and Word applications.
