NATURE AND SCOPE
This position reports to the Manager of Indirect Lending Operations. Serves as a lead resource, trainer, and supervisor for Indirect Lending Operations and is a liaison between the leadership of Indirect Lending Operations and staff. Assists members and associates in answering questions and acts as a lead processor.
REQUIREMENTS
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Minimum of two years of progressive lending operations experience within a financial institution.
3. Proven success with independent research and issue resolution while using discretion and maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
5. Must have experience or be able to gain proficiency in all programs and systems used for this job.
6. Must develop a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures as they relate to this position. Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all job-related state and federal laws and regulations.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Serves as a lead member on the Indirect Lending Operations team by being a reference and information source for less experienced loan processors.
2. Assists in training and mentoring of less experienced loan processors.
3. Serves as lead processor of loans and leases.
4. Provides feedback to leadership on various aspects of the department such as potential problems or departmental needs.
5. Act as the Subject Matter Expert when required.
6. Participate in User Acceptance Tests.
7. Serves as a back up to departmental Leadership as it relates to the loan process and escalations.
8. Initiates and receives calls to and from dealership employees and credit union members relating to credit applications, contract status and account information.
9. Utilizes computer software to quote payoffs to dealerships and to obtain new account and loan data.
10. Performs audits of the associates’ files.
11. Performs other duties as assigned.
