SHIFT: M-F, 6 am-2:30 pm (OT - Days outside of normal hours and on Sat as needed)
Salary based on experience - $24 - $26/hr. starting
Role Summary:

The role supports the Area Leader (department supervisor) across all shipping, receiving, warehousing, and ecommerce activities. Assists in management and supervision of department team members - directs, trains, coaches team members to optimize performance. This role is a working leader and provide backfill for department functions as needed . Strong people skills, organizational skills, and a proactive mindset are required for this role. Essential Job Duties:
- Be a safety champion for all team members within the organization
- Train, supervise, assist, and organize team members’ throughput in the ship/rec/warehousing department
- Knowledgeable or able to quickly gain knowledge of all department functions: parts shipments, shipping, receiving, ecommerce, warehousing, & inventory.
- Backfills and supports all areas within department as needed to cover absences and to provide coverage during peak season
- Possess excellent forklift skills
- Completes material movement transactions in the computer system accurately and timely
- Responsible for communicating to team members - safety, teamwork, quality, delivery, and cost metrics at shift start-up meetings and throughout the shift
- Responsible to analyzes workflow and work processes to continually improve throughput
- Ensures all work is performed using up-to-date standard work processes
- Actively participates in cross-functional continuous improvement activities
- Carries out other duties as assigned or necessary to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of the role
Core Physical Requirements:
Standing & walking on hard surfaces (frequent) reaching/pulling/twisting/bending at the waist (frequent); Sitting (infrequent); Climbing stairs (infrequent); using fingers/hands to operate computer keyboard (frequent); lifting requirement: 50 lbs. without assistance. Environmental Requirements: Office (5%)– climate controlled. Plant (95%) – not climate controlled; Noise levels in the plant may require the use of hearing protection.
Qualifications: The following are the minimum requirements for this job:
Education:
- High School Diploma/GED - preferably some college with emphasis in industrial or manufacturing
- Lean manufacturing is a plus
Work Experience:
- Min. 1 year in an assistant supervisor or team leader role
- Min. 3 years in a shipping/receiving/warehousing department role within manufacturing setting
- Forklift experience in sit down and stand up lifts required, CDL license a plus

- Proficient command of English, reading, and writing (Bi-lingual Spanish A-Plus)
