Job Description
Brookline Music School (BMS) seeks a Teaching Artist in PIANO. Applicants must be comfortable teaching private students of varied abilities, experience levels, and goals, ranging in age from 6 years to adults. Teaching takes place at our main Kennard House location in Brookline, with additional after-school instruction in various Brookline Public School locations.
Job Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a proven record teaching a range of ages and levels, and will be passionate about growing a studio through solid pedagogy, diligent lesson planning, and encouraging students toward performance opportunities and musical experiences beyond private lessons.Organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential to represent the school to our students and their families.
An undergraduate degree in piano performance is required; a graduate degree or the equivalent (demonstrated through teaching and performing experience) is preferred.
