Based in Garland Texas (Greater Dallas/Fort Worth Area) – and working collaboratively with teams in Sweden, this critical role is a member of a small and strategic aftermarket parts “family” who are taking automation, robotics, and machine solutions in mining equipment to the next level. Working to strengthen product development in the areas of digitalization and interoperability, in this role you will fill the space between our software development team and customers/ stakeholders in aftermarket.

Acting to translate critical and relevant information between these two teams (software development - both internal and external) and aftermarket stakeholders you will work as part of a highly collaborative team (arguably the best in the company); to create, develop, test, new products and maintain existing products especially in the area of implementing software and hardware from external suppliers as their customers become more digitalized; and this a huge focus & area of growth in aftermarket product engineering. As such, our partner is aggressively investing in game-changing concepts and technologies to drive the user experience worldwide and create a best-in-class product line of autonomous machines and connected products.
Possessing 2 years + of broad systems engineering/ product development experience …. You are an engineer’s – engineer. A “tinkerer” of sorts, understanding and controlling machines, how they operate – and making them more efficient gets you revved up. What You Will Do:
Working in a hybrid environment, this critical role is a member of a small and focused Texas based engineering team who is responsible for the development of aftermarket products.
Responsibilities include:
- Participate in a cross-functional team to develop new products and maintain existing products
- Provide a holistic systems level approach to problem solving
- Ability to evaluate basic networking issues and provide solutions
- Create/manage applications for Parts and Services Division and Service team
- Interface with development personnel during proto-typing & testing of new products to ensure compliance with performance requirements of the control system
You Bring:
Knowledge and Experience
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred) or Computer Science
- Knowledge or Experience in computer networking will be beneficial
- A basic understanding of software programming is a plus
- A basic understanding of electronics and/or hydraulic systems is a plus
- Training and experience in control system design and logic will be beneficial
- Ability to interpret requirements into specifications
- Ability to work on or around mining equipment
- Ability to travel, some international: total travel 10%
