Position Summary
Develop, maintain, and improve upon forecast models for the supply chain group to utilize in order to develop strategies and processes to meet or exceed company objectives. Provide models, analyses, information, and insight to enable business leadership teams to make informed decisions about forecasts.
Essential Job Functions
- Maintain and improve the forecast models by product, period, supplier and the overall Company annual plan.
- Create and report on "what if" pricing changes and the impact on the forecast and overall budget.
- Gather and maintain data requirements for current and 120 day forecast.
- Analyze period data and report the variances for each period. Analyze and forecast the monthly, quarterly, and annual variances to the plan and revised forecasts.
- Prepare near-term real-time market analysis to support tactical procurement.
- Analyze data and make recommendations to drive performance across the global supply chain.
- Work closely with procurement and finance to identify trends and manage specific issues that will impact forecast.
- Partner with Procurement and Product Management to develop planning tools such as the annual MSC/Frame planning tools.
- Provide Supplier and Plant Raw Material Scorecards to all stakeholders to improve the consistent supply of raw materials to our plants.
- Drive process improvements to develop and implement a global benchmarking system to synchronize, replace, or eliminate redundant analysis throughout the company in collaboration with internal departments, including but not limited to, IT, sales, finance, accounting, supply management, and product planning.
- Implement process improvements to improve financial forecasting accuracy and reporting formats.
- Assist in the development of network strategies including industry/market analysis, optimal asset use, new technology investment analysis and capacity analysis in support of long term “zero loss” supply chain design and execution.
- Create blueprint, design, testing and implementation of an identified solution to streamline processes or enhance Bar-S systems.
- Track, monitor and measure the benefit of implemented solutions for complex issues.
- Communicate risks to leadership with proposed plans for mitigation.
- Uncover patterns, correlations, market trends, customer preferences and other useful business information utilizing big data analytics.
- Prepare presentations for Executive Committee level meetings.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Supply Chain
- Five (5) years of Supply Chain, Forecasting, Business Analysis, Project Management
License/Certifications
- N/A
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Business or Supply Chain
- Experience with Supply Chain
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Experience in meat industry
- Knowledge of the principles of optimization and how optimization is performed using software packages.
- Familiarity with network optimization, inventory optimization, product flow analysis, operations planning, and cost to serve analysis.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies, concepts, processes and documentation.
- Ability to manage tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work independently
- Possess strong analytical skills in reviewing data to identify trends and opportunities
- Strong understanding of database structure, design, fundamentals of mathematics, large data sets distributed systems, and statistical concepts
- Knowledge of supply chain functions
- Knowledge of forecasting tools/software
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Set clear objectives, identify priorities, collaborate with business partners to streamline business and drive results
- Demonstrated ability to communicate across all levels of the organization, present complex ideas concisely and clearly articulate ideas verbally and in writing
- Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel, proficiency with Data Analysis, Pivot tables, and complex graphs
- Project management experience
- Working knowledge of SAP
- Process-focused — ability to identify and implement process improvement opportunities
Physical Requirements
- Usual office environment with frequent sitting, walking, and standing, and occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing. Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office machinery. Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices such as the telephone.
COMPENSATION
· $61,461 - $85,360, depending on geography, skills, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
· This position is eligible for an incentive bonus, based on achievements of company targets and individual performance expectations
