The role of the structural steel & miscellaneous fitters is to layout and fabricate steel and other metals to the specifications of blueprints/shop drawings. This position requires individuals with knowledge in shop drawings and experience with standard tools of the trade, magnetic drills, torches, basic layout tools.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret shop drawings to fabricate to engineering and detailing specifications.
- Determining what materials, tools and equipment are necessary to carry out tasks.
- Laying out and marking for precision.
- Fabrication of Miscellaneous Metals (i.e. stairs and rails).
- Overhead crane operations.
- Fork truck operations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
