Summary of Role:
GlobalFoundries Fab 8 is seeking experienced professionals to support the state of the art 300mm semiconductor manufacturing and development in Malta, New York. The core responsibilities of this team involve ownership of process integration of semiconductor devices; monitoring performance and driving improvements related to technology yield, Cp/Cpk of inline and electrical parameters, defectivity, and more. The team is also responsible for the development of new and emerging technologies through definition/execution of experiments and technical data analysis. The ideal candidate can demonstrate a technical understanding of semiconductor principles and an understanding of a balanced scorecard approach to develop, sustain, and improve semiconductor technologies with quality, cost, and delivery all considered.
Essential Responsibilities include:
As a Track Maintenace Technician you are responsible to support the Fab 8 Lithography Track Maintenance and Engineering team. This responsibility includes, but is not limited to:
Able to coach Technicians in performing hardware troubleshooting
Establish/modify equipment engineering and maintenance-related business processes necessary to run and maintain the tools in production.
Perform all Preventive Maintenance (PM) plans for all equipment and help optimize PM for to improve productivity.
Help with new equipment start-ups and material qualifications.
Strong focus on performing tasks within the allocated time.
Work in close collaboration with process and operations teams for shift requests.
Ensure close interaction with Tool Owners, owning escalations, and working together on the resolution of tool issues
Provide feedback/training to Junior Technicians on their troubleshooting skills, equipment knowledge, experience, decision making, and risks assessment.
Must be mechanically inclined and able to lead hands-on, tactical troubleshooting efforts to resolve performance issues; must be able to deconstruct and understand complex systems to identify the root cause of equipment failure.
Drive continuous improvement through a dvanced troubleshooting of semiconductor process tool issues .
Understanding t race data analysis using OEM’s application (ex. TEL Ingenio, SEMES)
Understanding t race data analysis using current FDC and OEM applications ( i .e., TEL, SEMES, E3, etc.)
Ability to read and understand tool schematics (electrical, PIDs, utility diagrams, etc.)
Ensure continuous knowledge exchange on best-known methods and improvement with other technicians.
Provide an initial response to abnormal tool-down events.
Spec writing and updates for optimization.
Other Responsibilities:
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs.
Required Qualifications:
Education - Technology related degree: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering or other related engineering physical science discipline and 10 years technical equipment experience working on semiconductor equipment.
Experience on relevant Lithography equipment (ex. TEL ACT12, TEL Pro-V, TEL Pro-Z, SEMES Lozix ) or wafer bonder
Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC)
Fluency in English Language – written & verbal
Preferred Qualifications:
BS degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Solid State Physics or other related engineering physical science discipline
Strong organizational skills, demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and able to react to shifting priorities to meet business needs
Excellent interpersonal skills, energetic and self-starter. Demonstrated ability to use these attributes on conflict resolution.

Expected Salary Range
$56,000.00 - $128,000.00The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
