As a Developer on our team, your responsibilities will be two-fold, amaze our customers with actionable, easy to consume data and implement better, cheaper, faster solutions using the latest technology. In your day to day work you identify opportunities for improvement and use your development skills to accelerate the strategic projects for the company.

We are 100% cloud based with no headache of large legacy systems and we pride ourselves on using new tools. You understand that even with complex problems often times simpler solutions are better. Having experience with data factory, writing stored procedures, engineering ETL process, and DevOps methodology is a must. Bonus points if you have created serverless solutions using Microsoft’s power platform and Microsoft PowerBI.
THE ROLE:
Create, maintain and update business intelligence solutions, database tables, dashboards, monitor and audit data quality.
Identify critical areas of the data structure and recommend improvements to existing reports and reporting processes. Import, clean, transform, and model data.
Assess data/ infrastructure needs/ short falls and make recommendations for addressing these
Use Data Factory, SQL Replication and AWS database migration services.
Follow procedures for documenting work and maintaining code (we use Azure DevOps, Azure data catalog, Microsoft Teams, Planner, To-Do)

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
4-year degree or equivalent career experience. We want to know you can finish what you start.
4+ years of development experience, Sql. You should be ready to dive right in. No beginners please.
Demonstrated experience in sql solution development and implementation (stored procedure writing, indexing, schema development, dimensional modeling, ETL creation and troubleshooting). You are skilled at translating complex information and processes into actionable clear conclusions and simplified automated processes.
Experience with Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services You are cloud-first oriented and will never want a data center with on prem servers. Unless, of course, it's filled with ping pong tables and craft beer.

To be successful, you agree that technology is a key part of every business process and you will make new technology adoption part of your routine
Become fluent in Microsoft 365 (formerly Office635) applications assigned to your role. Common applications include: Teams, Word, Excel, Tasks and Planner
Complete training in a timely manner that is assigned to you. Training is primarily conducted via Microsoft Learn modules and is assigned based on:
Position/Job Role – Most positions require a core set of Microsoft 365 working knowledge
Project Role – As member of a project team, you may be required to complete training before you can engage with the project team or commence project work
Ad-Hoc – Based on review of your performance via support requests, training modules will be assigned to increase skills

Healthcare. You understand the role of a laboratory in our healthcare system and the challenges around interoperability. You know what FHIR is.
DevOps, CI/CD experience, especially using Microsoft’s Azure DevOps platform.
You’ve delivered server-less solutions using Microsoft tools such as power automate.
You create data visuals in PowerBI so stunning people save them as desktop backgrounds.
You can defend the use of spaces versus tabs. Or wait, maybe it’s the other way around?
ADDITIONAL JOB CONSIDERATIONS:
This position is Full-Time, salary. Standard hours would be 9am-5pm PST, however hours will vary as needed.
This position is currently 100% remote.
Option to work on-site at Headquarters once office re-opens (we have transition to remote work in response to COVID), no relocation assistance package.
