The Fullerton Family YMCA has an opening for a Sports Coordinator. The sports coordinator is responsible for the implementation of the designated sports programs. Will implement, and administer diverse and dynamic onsite/offsite programs per YMCA standards and Program design. Program coordinator will hire, train, schedule, supervise and appraise Sports staff and/or volunteers.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, monitor, and control budget.
• Execute and maintain YMCA programs, ensure quality standards are met.
• Distribute information regarding trainings, schedule changes and special events.
• Responsible in the planning and promotion of the sports program to the general membership and community
• Lead program activities and classes.
• Track attendance
• Participate in community and facility special events.
• Oversee staff (training and scheduling).

Hiring Criteria: The following are the minimum qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position.

Education & Certifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• CPR and First Aid certificates required
• Child Abuse Prevention certification within 60 days of employment

Experience & Background:

• 2+ years of experience and/or 2+ years in related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
