Job Summary:
Lake Creek Winery has an immediate need for a Sous Chef/Line Cook position. Lake Creek Winery established in 2016 is located in southern Warren County, 10 minutes from Washington Mo, and is positioned between Dutzow and Marthasville Mo on highway 47/94 overlooking the Katy trail. Lake Creek is seeking an individual who enjoys making memorable, high quality food for the best customers in the area at a laid back, family-owned winery. Duties include preparing and presenting menu items for a la carte service, occasional in-house catering for special events, collaborating with the Executive Chef to create seasonal menus, specials, and farm to table dinners, utilizing local suppliers supporting a full service restaurant environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Following standardized recipes.
- Stocking and maintaining sufficient levels of food on the line
- Strong knowledge of cooking procedures and kitchen equipment.
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
- Ensure compliance with standards, codes, & regulations for food handling, general kitchen cleanliness, and kitchen maintenance.
- Ability to work (and stand) long hours at a time.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more.
- Ability to perform all kitchen staff functions, food prep, expo, grill, dish, plating, opening and closing kitchen.
Qualifications: Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- Familiar with industry’s best practices
- Culinary school diploma is a plus
- Current ServSafe Certification a plus.

Job Type: 30-40+ hrs/week
Salary: $16-$20 per hour - Commensurate with Experience
