POSITION SUMMARY:

The Site Scheduler will be reporting to the Site Manager, the Site Scheduler is responsible for confirming order ship dates and for planning efficient order fulfillment. The Site Scheduler works closely with customer service, procurement, manufacturing, and shipping personnel to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction with minimum inventory investment and maximum production efficiency.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Developing and distributing asset production cycle schedules based upon AOP forecasts and efficient product family sequencing.
  • Working with Procurement, Business Units, Manufacturing, and Shipping in order to meet customer OTD and OTIF targets.
  • Maintaining planning system input parameters such as planning horizons, lead times, run quantities, trimming, cycles, etc.
  • Identifying opportunities for utilizing FG and SFG stock.
  • Creating and planning stock replenishment orders to maintain adequate inventory levels for customer stocking programs and laminating base media.
  • Confirm (and revise if necessary) order ship dates (CTA Dates).
  • Create and confirm production runs and assign available finished goods.
  • Manage customer and production order changes.
  • Work with asset owners to confirm order priorities.
  • Optimize sequencing of grades on assets.
  • Maintain the asset production schedules, review daily and update as necessary.
  • Advise stakeholders of any significant changes in the asset schedules.
  • Lock the asset schedules by end-of day the Thursday before the cycle week.
  • Complete runs and re-plan any relevant balances and communicate shortages to Shipping and Customer

Service.

  • Support Procurement MRP activities by providing quarterly updates to projected cycle run quantities by grade.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in materials management or business with 5 years of experience in manufacturing, production planning, and materials control function. Or, five years of production/material control experience.

APICS certification is a plus.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC:

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Tieto / TIPS applications experience in preferred, but not required.
